Apart from the hamlet of Rabion, the nearest village is just 30 minutes walk through beautiful woodland along established paths.
		The hotel in the village serves very reasonable and tasty meals in its restaurant, and at lunchtime the wine is included for no extra cost! Not only is this region famous for its wine, it is also renowned for apples and cider is a significant local industry. The small town of Noyant, just a few kilometers north, has several shops and restaurants, including two bakers and a supermarket.
		The nearest main town is Saumur, 26 Km south of us. Saumur is a traditional rural French town with small and specialised shops, including many artistic and memorabilia outlets, boutiques, chocolatieres and delicatessens. The famous Cavalry School – the Cadre Noir is located in Saumur and the area has a tradition steeped in horses and riding.
